Does friendship change like love?
I’ve always been aware that I have difficulty with friendships.
When I was very young, I loved being alone and shyness ate my every initiative.

Story

As a teenager I had pen pals and I could express myself better in letters. In high school I had a couple of exclusive, totalitarian friendships, where we shared everything: food, laughter, poetry, secrets, adventures.
At university the same story, adding a few trips.
But with each cycle, I think mainly because of me, these friendships ended.
As soon as I closed a period, it was as if friendship had an end.
My feelings and intimacy were consumed.
After college, I had work colleagues, but I never had the same intimacy as in high school.
Today I can say that I have many acquaintances, even deep ones. But I’m no longer capable of being so intimate.
It’s my limit, my fault.
With this I don’t want to say that it will never happen again. Life is so unpredictable and can always surprise us.
I’m changing, even if I remain that shy little girl who loved to be alone.
